 The Da Wan hotel is good value for money,. I would stay there again, and recommend it to budget travelers.
Positives: Convenient location. There is a restaurant in the hotel. A convenience store and a bakery as well as several small "local" cafes are just outside the hotel. Wangfujing Street is a 5 minute walk away. There is a metro station under the hotel. Front desk staff are very helpful, but English ability is VERY limited.
Negatives: You will get telephone calls to the room offering massage etc. "Handlers" hover on the street corner nearby offering ladybar, massage, girls for your room etc. Beds are very hard.- 17-Nov-2008 Considering this was during the Olymipcs the price was not too bad. The location for this hotel was FANTASTIC!!! so central to everything. Very good location!!!
