We thought this was a shabby tired hotel that lives on its reputation but has not kept up the standards, in the first room we had the carpets were stained, the walls were bashed and marked and overall it needed refurbishing. The downstairs foyer area and the dinning room were all well kept and it was an excellent location but considering the amount of other hotels and guesthouses available in the area it is expensive. - 01-Nov-2008 An extremely good hotel, though slightly out of the way.
Very good rooms, well kept and neat place, cordial and friendly service, good pool.
If you want to just relax and not go anywhere this is the place.
The fun & leisure activity operators anyway pick up and drop you back at the Hotel.
To move around the other option is to rent a 2 wheeler scooter, you must have a valid International license.
The spa is not recommended, if you have experience the Thai massages at Bangkok, then this is just overpriced glamour.
Internet connection, there is only one at the reception, which was a limitation for me, though may not be for most on holiday.
- 23-Jul-2008 Great place to acclimatize for 1 or 2 nights before starting your backpacking trip of Thailand. Location great.
