 The room was large and comfortable and clean. Service was good. An excellent band played in the evenning next to the the BBQ where wonderful cold beer was served at a very reasonable price. I take ice with my beer and the staff obliged everytime with a warm smile. The beach fronting the hotel is clean and not crowded. There is one BIG let down, the breakfast. It's really poor with nothing much to eat. The dishes are left in the morning heat where the flys get to them before you do. The basic ingredients are there, it just seems the cooks have not a clue how to cook them - hard, cold potatoe; fatty beef curry!! You'd do yourself a favour skipping it...
The BBQ fish and congee served in the evenning is a different story - wonderful, prepared with love and compassion. Overall a great hotel, skip the free buffet breakfast though. I suggest the hotel management take a peek at the Holoday Inn's breakfast next door - they could learn a lot to make their hotel an all round winner. - 29-Jul-2007 |
