General
The hotel's flexible meeting room facilities can cater up to 140 guests and if required, a number of the rooms are interconnecting which can be used for separate reception, syndicate or breakout areas. Furthermore, the hotel also has an Otium Health and Leisure club which has a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, spa pool and gymnasium.
 This is my second visit to the Thistle and I was very disappointed. I had a tiny room. Everything was minimalist and geared up to saving money - horrible old small towels, third rate toiletries. Even the tea bags were rationed. I couldn't have a second cup of tea in my room. On the first day I reported that the door handle to my room fell on the floor in the corridor and needed repairing. They seemed to know about it already, but by the time I left on the third day, it still had not been repaired. This hotel may have four star facilities, but the basic elements are close to two star.- 11-Jul-2009 A useful hotel if you need to be in the Barbican area. The Health Centre was good.
