 Great place to stay, away from the hustle bustle of the tourist area. Good for quiet, relaxing do-nothing holidays. Good value for money, great surf beach. Rooms are average with good open-air balcony views. - 13-Oct-2008 Best choice for the price.
Knowledge of some basic spanish words is not necessary, but recommended.- 15-May-2008 We stayed at the Solymer Condo Suites in July 2007. After some initial confusion surrounding our booking we were settled into a lovly room with sea view. It was clean and well serviced we have no complaints about this room. We travelled around Cancun and Playa Del Carmen for the next 4 days and then returned to the Solymer and a different room fortunately we were only in that room overnight. It was a completely different standard from our original room. It was dirty and the beds were hard and uncomfortable. Hotel services were great however no telephone was available to receive calls. I would stay at the Solymer again as long as I could have room 407.
