Excellent hotel located in the middle of Helsinki. Five minutes walk to the central station, to the townhall, to the harbour, and the shopping area is just outside the door. The hotel has two restaurants with very recommendable food and service. The hotel room had all the facilities required, very good bed, and was clean. Maybe a bit noisy for the lightest sleeper but that comes with the location. Will definitely go back. - 13-Aug-2007 Reception staff were very efficient & friendly.
Superb location - less than 10 minutes walk from ferry terminal and less than 5 minutes from main train station.
Room was clean and tidy.
Only downside was that it was not possible to set the air conditioning for your own room - it appeared to be centrally controlled.
Would certainly stay there again if returning to Helsinki.- 20-Aug-2006 This hotel is in an excellant location being only 5 minutes walk from the port and in the same street as the very expensive Hotel Kamp. The room was basic but comfortable. There were no tea and coffee making facilities nor a room safe. Although not a requirement to me the mini-bar was locked and required a deposit to obtain key. There are three lifts just off the reception foyer. Breakfast was the usual buffet type with wide selection of predicatable produce available and was fine. Some renovation was being undertaken to lower floors. This did not disturb us however presumably other floors will also be upgraded. The decor was a bit dated and in need of an uplift. Staff were friendly and helpful.- 25-Jul-2006 |
