The Radisson SAS Hotel is only five minutes walk south from Dam Square, so is very central. An excellent shopping street (Kalverstraat) is only a few minutes walk from the hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was reasonably big, comfortable and air-conditioned. The bathroom under floor heating was valuable as the weather in March 2005 was bitterly cold. There were tea/coffee making facilities in the room as well as a mini-bar. Our stay included buffet breakfasts that were superb. Hot foods included bacon, sausages, tomato, baked beans, eggs, etc. while also available were the vast range of other continental-type foods such as cereals, sliced fruit fruit, croissants, Danish pastries, yoghurts, etc. After a large breakfast we did not feel hungry for the rest of the day! Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel.- 15-Mar-2005 |
