Conveniently located just of the northern motorway, the Poenamo Village Hotel is right next to the Takapuna Golf course and close to Takapuna Beach.  Clean, reasonably old but rooms are well kept and showers toilets etc modern. Plenty of parking and nice view of an atractive pool.- 28-Apr-2009 I booked through the internet and asked for a quiet room as we were kept awake because of noisey party goers around the pool the last time we stayed. We were put in a back room which was very good, we had a superbly undisturbed sleep. The only downside was that the bed was slightly uncomfortable. We were also disappointed that the bar was closed when we came back from a birthday party at another venue.
