One of the hotels in the tourist coast of Limassol. Many hotels, including this, were full of Russians and considerable part of the staff was also Russian. The average age of the hotel quests was rather high. The hotel was over booked when I arrived. Staff organized for me a room in the other hotel for the first night.
The weather during by stay was perfect. The hotel's beach and the pool were nice. I also liked breakfast buffet. However, there were not too much fruits and vegetables for those who are after them.
The room was OK, but bit noisy, old and had some stains. No internet connection available at rooms. In lobby it costs 10 eur per evening.
- 14-Oct-2008 The hotel itself is fine - typical nice 4 star beach hotel.
Problem, in common with most of these Cyprus hotels, is the location on the seaside sprawl coupled with poor public transport. OK if you have a car, otherwise you'll need to rely on taxis to get anywhere, and the taxi drivers will rip you off whenever they can. Essential to agree the fare first, and even then they'll argue then you get out. There is in fact a reasonable local bus here into Limassol, but there seem to be no published timetables, which is a shame.
Only other downside is that internet access is not free. - 14-Apr-2008 Ensure you get renovated rooms in the main building and not in the "wing" of the hotel - these are a long way from reception and are still of the older type.- 22-May-2006 |
