Great hotel with great rooms and great service. A little pricey but worth it.- 11-Feb-2010 Beautiful, clean hotel at far end of Strip. Reservation Staff very helpful and gave us room with view over Strip without prompting. Shark Reef disappointing and not very good value for money. - 08-Jan-2010 I travel to Las Vegas, on average five times a year, primarily for business. I've been fortunate to stay at many different properties based on the location of my meetings/conventions. I recently stayed at Mandalay Bay and was very disappointed. My FIRST room, a double after requesting a king, had noticeably dirty pillows upon entering. There was no coffee in-room, typical, however the lines at Mandalay's cafe were long and slow and the Starbucks is a quarter-mile walk from the elevators. This all tolerable until I gambled and experienced the rudest blackjack dealers imaginable. Additionally, the business office is a solid half-mile walk from the room elevators and the personnel were anything but accomodating. It cost $20 to work out for ONE day. The average cab ride to Caesar's or anywhere near there was $20.
I travel 30 weeks of the year and stay in hotels/resorts of all types. You take the good with the bad, and most experiences are tolerable but this was sub-par.- 25-Nov-2009 |
