 Walk to Train, cannel tours, next to Red Light area but ok, would stay again. needed help to find. good breakfast and atmosphere. Ok for young or older tourist (like me)- 18-Aug-2008 The Hotel staff during the day were helpful getting me checked in etc. The first room I had was on the ground floor right next to the breakfast room, it was extremely noisy. I asked if I could move to the first floor which was arranged. When I got to the new room, less noise but no curtains, I found them in another part of the room and put them up myself.
The bar sells the most expensive beer in Amsterdam, the price changed a couple of times and I was also short changed on more than one occasion. The night staff (they have to unlock the door to let you in) were always unfriendly, unhelpful and once quite aggressive. This is not the first time I have stayed in this hotel, but it is the last.- 02-Apr-2008 I have stayed here twice now. Both times have been great.
