 bad communication, room was not cleaned- 27-Oct-2006 We visited the hotel in the last week of April, specifically to see the Keukenhof Gardens. The hotel is ideally situated for these, being only 20-25 minutes walk to the entrance.
The centre of Lisse itself is about a half hour walk, and there are several excellent restaurants around the 'square'.
Service in the hotel restaurant tended to be on the slow side, and at the bar when we were there, there was only one bartender taking the restaurant drinks orders as well, which resulted in quite long waits for a drink at the bar. The food standard was acceptable.
Taxi from Schipol takes about 20mins, dependent on traffic, and cost 43 Euros. Buses to Haarlem and Leiden (for trains to Amsterdam) stop at hotel entrance.
