Room size and bathroom size was not bad. Both exceptionally clean. Breakfast not bad as breakfasts go in greece but made exceptional by the fantastic view from the 7th floor breakfast room which also was open and we used at night for a coffee/drink and wonderful acropolis view by night. Location of hotel was easy going 300m walk from Monastiriki metro (metro from the airport very easy and only ten euro for 2 single tickets Airport to Athens). However hotel actually in a bit of a seedy area but didnt really bother us as only walking to and from it anyway and we had no trouble and did not feel unsafe. Great local produce (meat, seafood and fruit/veg) market really close by and worth a look to get a feel for everyday life in Athens.- 07-Sep-2007 Rather tired hotel, looks much nicer in photos than in fact, but convenient and adequate.- 29-Jul-2007 The hotel was very nice, clean and the staff was friendly. It did not automatically come with air conditioning, but you could use it for 5 euro a day, which wasn't that bad a price and since we were there in the middle of the summer, definitely worth it! The rooms did not come with a TV either. The resturant made the hotel worth it. It overlooked the Acropolis and at night, the view was just so beautiful and the drinks were very inexpensive. The worst part was the location of the hotel. It was near everything, however it seemed to be down a bad street. Once the sun went down, there were prostitutes out on the street and it was scary to walk down. We were there for three nights though and overall, as a young traveling couple in our 20s, the hotel was good to us.- 24-Jul-2007 |
