 Good location for airport. Good rooms, food choice limited- 31-Oct-2009 We have stayed in Singapore many times and deliberately selected this hotel for a six night quiet stay, even so we found it very remote. We chose the executive package, excellent value - free breakfast, broadband, happy hour and mini-bar. Of these, only the mini-bar disappointed, 2 beers, 4 soft drinks and a mini Toblerone. The 'cocktails' in the executive lounge each evening were excellent, wines, spirits, nibbles etc all free for 2 hours. (Wine in Singapore hotels is normally Sin $40 to $60 a bottle and a spirit plus mixer $15 to $20.) The rooftop pool is great, super views of shipping in Johore Straights and aircraft at Changi. Would stay again but only for a couple of nights.- 19-Sep-2009 A very good hotel for a stopover to/from Australia. It's a $AUS12.50 taxi ride from the airport hotel has a free hourly shuttle service. Rooms are basic but large, and it has a fantastic swimming pool on the roof which overlooks the Malacca Straites. Service is excellent and we got a discount on our return booking, glad we booked ahead as they were full late June. They also had a room ready for us (for a bit extra) at 9.30 a.m. suggest you organise that if coming in from UK. Location is nearer the airport than town but you can walk to the water from the hotel. Great cheap restaurants nearby. All in all a pleasant place to stay. - 28-Jun-2009 |
