 Excellent hotel, good size rooms in the centre of Melbourne - located close to MCG, Docklands, Myer and David Jones and within walking distance to Lygon St Carlton and Clarendon St South Melbourne.- 15-May-2009 The hotel is older, but the location is excellent. The air conditioning didn't work in our first room, so we transferred to another room and it was fine. The new room had the kitchen and lounge area downstairs and bathroom and bedroom upstairs, so not good for anyone with a mobility problem. It was very quiet and clean. No view but we weren't in Melbourne to spend time in a hotel room. The service was excellent. The room wasn't serviced daily, but towels and toiletries were left outside the door for us.
