Albany

Albany, Australia, is the site of the country’s last operational whaling station and an ideal location for whale watching. The city is located on King George III Sound, where the Whaling Station offers visitors the chance to relive the remarkable sights and sounds of whale hunting. Humpback whales and southern right whales put on a show from June until October, and can be viewed from guided tour boats or from land.

The fine, white sand at Middleton Beach in Albany invites visitors to swim, windsurf and picnic. They can also enjoy the spectacular views along the scenic walk or cycle path.
